Our work
Jobs we have finished, photographed as we went
64 photographs from work this shop has actually carried out, grouped by the kind of door or vehicle involved. No stock photography on this page.
Car keys and fobs
30 photographsCutting blades and coding keys to the vehicle, across a wide spread of makes. Whether a given car can be done outside a dealer depends on the manufacturer and the model year, which is the first thing we check when you call about a replacement car key.

Keypad and connected locks
15 photographsKeypad deadbolts, touchscreen locks and mechanical push-button sets. Some of these are battery-powered and app-connected; some deliberately are not. What suits a door is covered on the smart lock page.

House doors
8 photographsHandle sets, deadbolts, latch guards and reinforced strikes, including several doors photographed before and after the work. Most of it is ordinary residential work on doors that had stopped doing their job properly.

Business premises
6 photographsStorefront mortise locks, exit devices, closers and latch protectors. Business doors carry obligations a house door does not, which is the subject of the commercial page.

Keys and cylinders
1 photographsCutting, duplicating and repinning. Rekeying an existing cylinder is usually the answer where a house door is concerned, and the comparison guide works through when it is not.

The van
4 photographsMost of the work happens at your door rather than at the shop, so the van carries the key machines, the blanks and a pinning bench. That is why a photograph of the inside of a van belongs on a page about work.

What this page is
Photographs, not claims
Every image above is a job this shop carried out, photographed on site or at the bench. What you can read off them is the hardware, the kind of door and the sort of problem involved.
What you cannot read off them is how long anything took, what it cost, or how it performed afterwards, so this page does not say. Ask those questions directly and you will get direct answers.
If you are comparing locksmiths
Worth asking for
Photographs of previous work are reasonable to ask any locksmith for, along with a fixed address and a price agreed before the job starts. The about page lists the rest of the questions worth putting to us or to anybody else.
If a particular job here looks like yours, mention it when you get in touch and we can tell you what that one involved.
Questions and answers
About these photographs
Are these your own jobs?
Yes. Every photograph on this page came off a job this shop carried out. Illustrative photographs are used elsewhere on the site to explain hardware, and they are not mixed in here.
Can you do the same thing on my car or door?
Often, though a car in particular depends on the make and the model year rather than on whether a similar one appears here. Tell us the year, make, model and whether a working key exists, and you will get a straight answer before anything is booked.
Why is there no price against each job?
Because the photograph does not show the price, and quoting one job as if it applied to another would mislead you. Describe your situation and we will give you a number for it.
Do you photograph every job?
No. These are the ones where a photograph was useful or the customer was happy for one to be taken. Nothing here identifies an address or a license plate.
